Meet our women’s buyer Reanna! We hung out with Reanna and her English Staffy Sadie, and chat to her about the upcoming looks for this season, her laidback style and what she gets up to when she isn’t buying shoes!
What are the hottest trends and looks for this season?
For Spring Summer 14/15 we are seeing lots of tropical colours and floral prints. Pastel hues and metallic tones are becoming a huge trend and they come in a range of different styles to suit every occasion and lifestyle. For the warmer weather, we’re seeing a lot of chunky block-heel sandals and espadrille styled wedges. Loafers and Albert lace-ups have a point of difference with cut-out details, pony hair and tassel trims. There is a huge focus on flat athletic looks such as Birkenstock styles and sport luxe slides, a trend which is super comfortable and totally casual. You’ll start seeing lots of bohemian wooden soles and textural leathers emphasising the summer festival look. The monochrome theme has made another comeback in tandem with 90’s grunge platforms and chunky soles.
What is your favourite look of this season?
Loafers! They are an everyday staple that you can wear all year round. They are traditionally tailored for men but come in really feminine colours like pastels and metallics. My favourite brand this season so far would have to be our Jeffrey Campbell range. Jeffrey Campbell shoes are really out-there adaptions of classic styles.
What is your signature style?
My style is really minimal, laidback and classic. I like really clean lines and layering garments with different textures and fabrics. My entire wardrobe is basically black! I prefer investing in styles that will never date. I wear a lot of causal styles like Converse in the weekend and during the week I opt for something really versatile like a minimal black ankle boot or loafer.
How many shoes do you own?
Probably about 30 pairs!
Your favourite food?
Chow in Wellington Central. I love Asian fusion food. And of course chocolate, because who doesn’t like chocolate?!
Your favourite TV shows?
I enjoy lifestyle shows like The Block and X Factor. My favourite shows at the moment are Suits and House of Lies.
